South Africa managed to get a win in their third T20I game against India and the three-match series ended in a draw. Following the T20I series, both the teams will now face each other in the longer format of the game. India will host South Africa for a three-match Test series, which will begin from October 2, 2019. However, the Blues have faced a major blow as Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the series after suffering from minor stress on his lower back.

Fans were excited to see Jasprit Bumrah play his debut red-ball series on Indian soil. The pacer has so far played 12 Tests away from home (two in West Indies, three in South Africa, three in England, four in Australia). Bumrah is one of the finest bowlers in the Indian squad and has troubled the batsmen on foreign soil with his deadly pace and fierce bouncers. Umesh Yadav has been named as Bumrah's replacement, the former will be making his first Test appearance for team India since the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2018-19.
