Jaydev Unadkat gets standing ovation for his 6 wickets in the County Championship - WATCH

In an exciting County Championship match, Sussex came out on top. In their first innings, Hudson-Prentice scored 65 runs, and Salisbury took 5-73. In their second innings, Coles scored 63 runs and Scriven took 4-55. Leicestershire, on the other hand, only scored 108 runs in their first innings (with 48 from Patel and 4-14 from Karvelas). However, in their second innings, they made an amazing comeback, getting 483 runs (led by Ackermann's 136, Amin's 94, Scriven's 78, and Cox's 58, while Unadkat took 6-94). Even though Leicestershire came back, Sussex won by a narrow 15-run margin.

Sussex vs Leicestershire - 'A hard-fought match' 

Cheteshwar Pujara captained the Sussex team, batting first after losing the toss. In their first innings, they scored 262 runs in 72.1 overs. Pujara, batting at number four, scored 26 runs off 51 balls. Sussex then bowled out Leicestershire for 108 runs to take a 154-run advantage. Jaydev Unadkat was instrumental in taking three wickets for his team in the second innings.

After 102 overs, Sussex declared their third innings at 344/9, setting a daunting goal of 499 runs. Pujara struggled once more, getting only 23 runs off 46 balls. Leicestershire put up a brave effort in a difficult chase of 499 runs but finally fell short. Sussex won by 15 runs after dismissing them for 483 runs in 132.4 overs.
