Relive Virat Kohli's maiden century
Virat Kohli's first century came against Sri Lanka in Kolkata in December 2009 when he scored 107 runs and formed a formidable partnership with Gautam Gambhir to help India push towards the target of 315 that was set by the away side. The youngster's performance was so good that Gambhir, who received the Man of the Match award for his unbeatable knock of 150, said he handed over the award to Virat Kohli.

His batting performances have lead to many fans and analysts comparing him to India's greatest batsman, Sachin Tendulkar. The praises do not stop for Virat Kohli, who is currently second on the list of the ICC Rankings of Test batsmen and tops the list for the One Day International (ODI) rankings. Recently Michael Vaughan, replying to a user's question, picked Kohli as the number one batsman for all three formats of the game.
