Deepak Chahar is certainly having the time of his life after bagging two hattricks in three days. After his blistering performance, Chahar had a sense of idealism and appreciation for his IPL skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Chahar credited Chennai Super Kings and Dhoni for his growth.

"I want to give all the credit to the IPL. I have learned a lot at CSK and from Dhoni Bhai. How to read the body language of a batsman and then bowl accordingly."

Chahar who fuelled India to an emphatic series win,  bagged his second hattrick within two days after the Bangladesh series as he dismissed three Vidarbha batsmen off three legal deliveries in a domestic T20 match. Further admitting that Dhoni has scolded him, the young man heaped praises over the former captain.

"He (Dhoni) has scolded me a lot also on the field. I have learned a lot from those incidents too," said Chahar. He will observe you from behind the wickets. It has happened quite often when he has told me a couple of things before bowling a delivery and I have ended up taking a wicket," he added.

Chahar then emphasised on the skills that he learned from Dhoni and explained that bowling in the death overs wasn't easy but the skipper helped him a lot with that. "Bowling in the death overs isn't easy at all. This is the main thing I have learnt from him. Those things that I learnt from Dhoni bhai are helping me a lot at the international level."

Chahar in the Bangladesh series

With lots of variations slow leg cutters, yorkers, fast ones, and outswingers, Chahar foxed and bamboozled the Bangladeshi well-set batsmen to clinch the match and the series. Chahar was also the highest wicket-taker of the series with 8 wickets and was quite economical throughout the series. Chahar was impressive with his bowling in West Indies series as well with his pace, tight line and variations. India has well and truly found its strike bowler for the next year's World Cup T20 in Australia.
