MS Dhoni celebrates Chandrayaaan-3's moon landing in typical 'captain cool' style - Watch

Chandrayaan 3 made India the first nation to land on the southern side of our natural satellite. MS Dhoni celebrated the 'historic moment' in his own style.

India made history on Wednesday when it became the fourth nation after the United States, Russia, and China to perform a gentle landing on the Moon. Chandrayaan 3 also made India the first nation to set foot on the southern side of the moon. The announcement was confirmed by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) at 6:04 PM IST on behalf of the mission.

MS Dhoni cheers the landing of Chandrayaan-3

MS Dhoni , the legendary cricket player brought India much pride during his years of playing for the national team. It is no secret that Dhoni has a soft spot for India and is fiercely patriotic. A video of MS Dhoni rejoicing at the successful landing of Chandrayaan 3 on the lunar surface has recently gone viral on social media.

Dhoni is seen on camera cheering and clapping as ISRO and India broadcast the lunar landing live. This touching exchange highlights Dhoni's deep love for India and admiration for the country's accomplishments outside of cricket. MS Dhoni is the last captain who helped India win tjeir last ICC trophy in 2013. After his retirement in 2020, Team India will aim to repeat the same feat as MSD in the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup in October.

Dhoni’s wife also shares a clip of Ziva celebrating the historic accomplishment 

The family of former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni gathered in Ranchi, Jharkhand, to celebrate the momentous occasion. Sakshi, Dhoni's wife, posted a video of their daughter Ziva rejoicing and applauding after hearing the news of the successful landing from ISRO on her Instagram account. It's interesting to note that the Dhoni family was keeping track of the Chandrayaan-3 landing via Republic TV. MS Dhoni successfully led CSK to their 5th title in the IPL 2023 earlier this year when they defeated Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The ‘captain cool’ will be looking forward to supporting the India cricket team in the upcoming Asia Cup and ODI World Cup.
