Following Rishabh Pant's sluggish performance, cricket fans are seemingly not too enthusiastic with his batting display. The youngster is struggling with his batting form and reportedly lacks consistency. After the World Cup, Pant is seen as a potential replacement for the veteran MS Dhoni. Recently in the T20 series between India and South Africa, the youngster struggled with the bat and the bad shot selection didn't help the team register large totals against the Proteas. Let's look at his performance in T20 and ODI’s:

Recently, during the second T20 series between India and South Africa, Pant had a chance to build a partnership with team India captain Virat Kohli. However, he played a poor shot and was dismissed after scoring just 19 runs off 20 balls.
Famous comedian Vikram Sathaye came to his rescue when he addressed the issue and commented that it is not fair to suddenly talk about Pant’s shot selection at the beginning of the tour. After the tie in the T20 series between India and South Africa, both the team head to Visakhapatnam for the first Test match which will be held on Wednesday, October 2.
I feel it’s not fair to suddenly start speaking about Pant’s shot selection at the beginning of the tour. #Pant
