Mumbai Indians are arguably the most successful Indian Premier League (IPL) team. MI have won the IPL a record four times. Other than Mumbai, only the Chennai Super Kings are the team to have won the tournament three times. In fact, Mumbai had beaten CSK in an edge of the seat thriller in this edition's final earlier this year. Coincidentally, all of their four title triumphs have come under Rohit Sharma's captaincy. Just like their arch-rivals CSK, even Mumbai Indians are replying to the fans in case if they take a dig at the team or have a genuine question.
Mumbai Indians' fantastic reply to a fan
On the occasion of Dhanteras, the owners of the Mumbai Indians had hosted a pre-Diwali bash at Jio World Centre. The Mumbai Indians players including the likes of skipper Rohit Sharma, the Pandya brothers Hardik & Krunal, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan and head coach Mahela Jayawardena were present for the occasion. However, Jasprit Bumrah, who has been both MI and Team India's premier pacer was nowhere to be seen. His absence seemed to have created a lot of restless and confusion among the fans. One fan even came and asked whether Bumrah had switched over to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
However, Mumbai Indians did not hesitate in replying back. The four-time champions posted a GIF of their captain Rohit Sharma and asked the fan to calm down in order to mention that nothing had happened as he had feared and that Jasprit Bumrah is still associated with them and has not switched over to RCB. Take a look.
Jasprit Bumrah's injury
Jasprit Bumrah, who had suffered a stress fracture, was ruled out of the recently concluded series against South Africa. He will not feature in the upcoming series against Bangladesh where India will be playing three T20Is and two Tests starting from November 3. According to sources, the team management did not want to take a chance with him keeping the New Zealand tour in early 2020 and the ICC World T20 in mind.
