Shakib Al Hasan and Co. are all set to participate in the upcoming edition of the ODI World Cup with an experienced and talented 15-member squad. The Bangladesh cricket team is yet to win an ICC title and their best performance in the 50-over World Cup came in the year 2015 when they qualified for the quarterfinals of the major ICC event. As the ODI World Cup 2023 is being held in India, the Bangladeshi spinners will get a lot of help from the pitch, which can benefit them further in the tournament.

Bangladesh's Strongest ODI World Cup XI

The Bangladesh cricket team has the likes of experienced players such as Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah and skipper Shakib Al Hasan. Shakib is one of the world's best all-rounders whereas Rahim is the backbone of the Bangladeshi middle order. Mahmudulllah can give the much-needed finish to the team and can also bowl a few overs with the ball. 

If we take a deep look at the team's playing XI, Litton Das is expected to open the innings along with Najmul Hossain Shanto in the ODI World Cup 2023. Mushfiqur Rahim can come into bat at number three whereas, Towhid Hridoy can play at number six and the batter showed a lot of promise in the 2023 Asia Cup. Skipper Shakib Al Hasan will come at five and will play accordingly as per the situation. Mahmudullah may play at the number six position in the 2023 ODI World Cup and play the role of a finisher. Mehidy Hasan Miraz is expected to come in at seven and hit some lusty blows with the bat and also take wickets with the ball.
