Liverpool hope to maintain perfect EPL record
Liverpool recently fought their way back to register a 4-3 win against Red Bull Salzburg on matchday two of the UEFA Champions League. The Reds looked dicey in defence, especially Virgil Van Dijk, as they surrendered a three-goal lead at home. Mohammed Salah scored the winning goal on the night to hand Klopp’s men all three points. Joel Matip’s absence was obvious on Wednesday night and Klopp will hope that Joe Gomez and Van Dijk can thwart the attacking prowess of James Maddison and Jamie Vardy at Anfield.
Brendan Rodgers returns to Anfield
Leicester City have carved themselves of being ‘giant-killers’ this 2019-20 Premier League season. Before beating Tottenham a couple of weeks ago, Brendan Rodgers’ young and talented squad secured a draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The former Liverpool coach will hope the likes of Harvey Barnes, Jamie Vardy, and James Maddison impress in Saturday afternoon’s match at Anfield. Expect a thrilling affair between the two top-class teams.
