Indian batsman Rohit Sharma recently reclaimed the title of the highest run-scorer in the shortest format of the game. Rohit went past Virat Kohli’s tally of 2,450 T20I runs against Bangladesh in the opening game of the three-match series. Rohit also has four centuries in the format and has played many match-winning innings for the country, especially in limited-overs cricket.

Here, we take a look at five of Rohit Sharma’s best T20I innings
5. 106 vs South Africa, 2015
During South Africa’s tour of India in 2015, Rohit Sharma cracked his first-ever T20I century during the opening game of the series. Sharma scored 106 runs from just 66 balls to take India’s total to 199-5 in 20 overs. His stroke-filled innings included 12 boundaries and five sixes.
4. 111* vs West Indies, 2018
West Indies toured India in 2018 for a full-fledged series against the hosts. In the second T20I, Team India chose to bat first and posted 195-2. Opening batsman Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 111 from just 61 balls. His match-winning innings was laced with 8 hits to the fence and 7 hits over it.
3. 50* vs South Africa, 2007
Rohit made his T20I debut during the inaugural ICC World T20 in South Africa. India faced tournament favourites South Africa in a virtual quarter-final where the Hitman got to display his talents with the bat for the first time. Team India was reduced to 33-3 at one stage before young Rohit joined hands with Robin Uthappa and later with MS Dhoni to stage a rescue mission. The right-hander brought up his fifty from just 40 balls with a last-ball six.
2. 118 vs Sri Lanka, 2017
During the second T20I against the visiting Sri Lankan team in 2017, the hosts posted their highest-ever total in the shortest format. India’s 260-5 had a lot to do with the kind of start the Indian captain provided at the top of the order. Rohit played an entertaining knock of 118 runs from just 43 balls which included 12 fours and 10 massive sixes. His century was also the joint-fastest in T20 internationals.
1. 100* vs England, 2018
Team India was chasing a difficult 199 for a series win against England. After losing Dhawan early, Rohit stayed till the end to ensure a successful Indian run-chase and a rare series win against the host nation. Rohit series-winning century came from just 56 balls.
