Rohit Sharma's comeback to Test cricket has been nothing less than remarkable. The 'Hitman' managed to silence his critics who were questioning his place in the longest format of the game. He had scored centuries in both innings of the first Test at Vizag and was also adjudged Man of the Match. The opener then suffered a setback in the following Test at Pune where he was dismissed early. However, it seems that he had learned from his failure as he played a magnificent knock in the third and final Test at Ranchi and scored yet another magnificent ton. However, there was one crazy moment before Rohit got to his sixth Test ton.
Rohit Sharma's moment of madness
Opening the innings for India, the Hitman negotiated the new ball well when India had lost a couple of early wickets after winning the toss and electing to bat first. He held one end firmly and was ably supported by the Indian Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane. But, a moment of madness took place in the 45th over of the innings when the limited-overs vice-captain was batting in the nervous 90s. The opener who was batting on 94 took a single and reached the non-striker's end which left him just five runs short of a well-deserved ton and that is when it started drizzling as the groundsmen prepared to bring the covers out as the rain came out.
Rohit Sharma, who was standing at the bowler's end seemed to be annoyed as he looked up (at the rain) and shouted "Not Now''. The video of Rohit Sharma getting desperate to get to his century was posted on social media. Watch the video here.

Nonetheless, the Mumbai batsman completed the formalities by depositing Dane Piedt into the stands as he brought up his third century of this series.
Bad light halts play on Day one
The third test match between India and South Africa was stopped shortly after tea due to bad light and rains, as Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane frustrated the Proteas bowlers. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma also raced to his sixth Test century, equalling Sunil Gavaskar's record of scoring the most number of centuries in a series, Ajinkya Rahane looked poised to get to his ton before bad light halted play on Day one at Ranchi. India were at 224-3 when the game was stopped with Rohit Sharma on 117 and Ajinkya Rahane on 83.
