After the historic T20I loss against Bangladesh on Sunday, the Indian skipper and captain Rohit Sharma acknowledged that the team did not execute their skills properly which led to them to lose the game. Bangladesh beat India in the first T20 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi by 7 wickets. This was also Bangladesh's first victory against the Men in Blue in T20 cricket.
'We do not look at the opposition when we play'
In the post-match conference, Rohit said, "We do not look at the opposition when we play. We have to focus on our job which is to come out and do what we are supposed to do. For us, it does not matter against which teams we are playing and of course, we look at their bowling and batting line-up. But focusing too much on the opposition does not do any good."
'I would not say we took them lightly'
The stand-in skipper added that "I would not say we took them lightly. When we play and go out on the field, we do not look at the records. We just took that as a fresh game and want to win that game. How we do that is by executing the skills and that is what we failed to do today. We did not execute properly. "
