India's limited-overs opener Shikhar Dhawan celebrated Bhai Dooj with his family and shared the photos of his celebration. He will soon join the Indian team for the T20I series against Bangladesh, starting November 3.
"Had a good time with the family today. Such days always make me so happy.. Happy Bhai Dooj to everyone," Dhawan wrote on his Instagram handle
Here is a look at the post:
The southpaw from Delhi also shared a picture with his house help and wrote: "The woman in the second picture, is someone very close to my heart. She was part of our family since I was a child and even today she greets me with the same warm smile and love which makes my day & gives me so much joy and happiness. A symbol of innocence and a good heart. Such feelings are priceless."
He also shared a video of him playing cricket on the terrace of his house with his dear ones. He captioned the video "Family waali cricket ka mazaa hi kuch aur hai"
Dhawan hasn't been in good touch with the bat since his return from the hand injury which he had suffered while batting in India's second match against Australia at the 2019 World Cup in England. He made a comeback after a month in the limited-overs series against West Indies in which he could not score big and made 2 and 36 in the two games. He played the three T20Is against the Proteas and scored 76 runs from two games at an average of 38.
Dhawan will look to get back in form against Bangladesh which will be followed by the series against West Indies and consolidate his position in the team for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
