Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer signs deal with IMG Reliance, who will now oversee the cricketers' off-field activities.

IMG Reliance, the Indian sports management company, recently added cricketer Shreyas Iyer to its list of talents. The management group will now be handling the batsman’s commercial interests, management, brand building and other off-field engagements. The company already boasts of some of the biggest names of Indian cricket like Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah.

Shreyas Iyer signs deal with IMG-Reliance

24-year old Shreyas Iyer captained the IPL franchise Delhi Capitals during the eleventh and twelfth seasons of India’s premier T20 competition. In doing so, the cricketer became the youngest captain ever to lead the Delhi side in IPL. Iyer also won the IPL Emerging Player Award in 2017 and is widely known for his big-hitting abilities with the bat.

Shreyas Iyer has represented the Indian team in nine ODIs and six T20Is. The right-handed batsman has scored four half-centuries and his 346 ODI runs have come at an impressive average of 49.42. Iyer registered his highest ODI score of 88 during an epic 213-run partnership with Rohit Sharma against the visiting Sri Lankan team in 2017. His knock came from just 70 balls and his free-flowing innings allowed Rohit to slam his record-breaking third double-ton in ODIs.

Bangladesh tour of India 2019

Shreyas Iyer is also part of the Indian squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. The first match of the series will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday. The opening fixture will be followed by two more games in Rajkot and Nagpur on November 7 and 10 respectively.
