Twenty-year-old mystery spinner Kevin Koththiigoda raised eyebrows on Saturday, November 16, when he bowled for the Bangla Tigers against the Deccan Gladiators in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. His peculiar bowling action was likened to that of South African spinner Paul Adams, whose action was described as "a frog in a blender." Kevin Koththiigoda's figures at the end of the match were 0/22 in two overs.

Talk of the Sri Lankan's bowling action took over Twitter on Saturday as the Deccan Gladiators chased the Bangla Tigers' total at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. The action looked a lot like Proteas unorthodox spinner Paul Adams whose unconventional action confused the English batsman in a tour game during 1995-96. During the 2016 edition of IPL, Shivil Kaushik emulated Adams' action and bamboozled a few batsmen in the league.
Kevin Koththiigoda's actions looked much like these other two bowlers as he tried to get Shane Watson out. The 20-year-old did not prove to be too much of a challenge though as he was neutralised pretty quickly and gave away 22 runs in his two overs.

Shane Watson won the toss and opted to bat first against the Tigers in Match 4 of the Abu Dhabi T10 League. The Tigers' Rilee Rossouw and Colin Ingram helped the team reach a formidable 108 in their ten overs. Pacer Migael Pretorius shined with his three wickets as he led the Gladiators as far as bowling was concerned. Shane Watson opened the innings for the Gladiators and scored 41, hitting three fours and three sixes. Anton Devcich supported Watto with his 27 off 11 and Daniel Lawrence put the finishing touches on the Gladiators innings. David Wiese got two wickets for the Tigers as the Gladiators won with one ball to spare and six wickets in hand.
