T20 World Cup 2020: Papua New Guinea, Ireland, Netherlands, Namibia, Scotland and Oman are the six teams who have qualified for the T20 World Cup in Australia.

Scotland and Oman sealed the last two spots of the T20 World Cup that will be played in Australia. Post qualifiers, all the sixteen teams have been decided. Papua New Guinea, Ireland, Netherlands, Namibia, Scotland and Oman are the six teams who have qualified for the event from the World T20 qualifiers.

These six teams will play Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in the preliminary stages of the World Cup. The four teams out of the eight teams will progress to the Super 12 stage.

Oman & Scotland book their berths for T20 WC in Australia:

Oman beat Hong Kong and Scotland defeated UAE in the World T20 qualifiers on Wednesday to book their berths in the World Cup. Out of all the six teams that made it into the World T20 from the Qualifiers, Papua New Guinea and Namibia will make their appearances at the World T20. The other four teams – Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland and Oman have featured in the tournament and are making a return.

Six places were vacant for next year's T20 WC in Australia alongside Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the first-round group stage.

The four teams that reached the tournament semi-finals have qualified for the T20 World Cup - Group A winners Papua New Guinea face Namibia in one semi-final, while Group B winners Ireland take on the Netherlands. Oman beat Hong Kong by 12 runs later on Wednesday to secure the final qualification place. Oman stumbled to 42-6 but an important unbeaten 67 from opener Jatinder Singh saw them post 134-7. Hong Kong were reeling at 18-5 in reply and, despite wicketkeeper Scott McKechnie's 44, they could only reach 122-9 off their 20 overs, with Oman's Bilal Khan being the pick of the bowlers taking four wickets. Scotland will face Oman in a fifth-place play-off on Thursday.
