According to reports, on Tuesday, the Special Session of Parliament is expected to pass a resolution to call India Bharat. Article 1 of India's Constitution says that India, that is, Bharat, shall be a Union of States. This article is likely to change. Virender Sehwag showed his support to the reports in style on X ( formerly Twitter)  when Rohit Sharma announced the squad for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

In this tweet, Virender Sehwag says that he agrees with the news that India's name could be changed to Bharat. He uses the term #TeamBharat to bring up the idea of using the name 'Bharat' instead of 'India' during the upcoming World Cup.

Sehwag goes on to talk about players like Kohli, Rohit, Bumrah, and Jaddu. He says that as fans, we should cheer for these players with the spirit of Bharat in our hearts. He thinks that the players should also wear shirts with the word "Bharat" on them to show how their identity has changed. The mention of Jay Shah is a big step, as Sehwag wants to draw the attention of the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
