Shreyas Iyer missed the crucial clash against Sri Lanka due to a back spasm and he is likely to be out of contention for place in the team. This is Jasprit Bumrah's first ever ODI commitment since he came back from a lengthy injury spell and the management is likely to give him a much needed rest keeping in mind the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup.
Both Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj are expected to make way for Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna respectively. Krishna is yet to feature in the continental tournament and might have a rare appearance against Bangladesh. Shardul Thakur is also poised to replace Hardik Pandya, deputy to captain Rohit Sharma.

In the batting contingent, both Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma will be preferred and it remains to be seen who will they replace in the team. Team Indian bowling coach already hinted there might be players coming in this game. "We have an opportunity to give the rest of the players a chance to play. So definitely it is open. I think the captain will announce it tomorrow (Friday). But it is an option as we have already qualified (for the final), so we will see tomorrow."
