Virat Kohli has been arguably the best captain to lead India in Test cricket. Under his captaincy, India have not only been the top-ranked Test side but also a dominant side at home. The Virat Kohli-led side won their 11th consecutive Test series at home after outplaying South Africa at Pune where the skipper had scored an unbeaten 254. Even though he could not make his bat talk at Ranchi, he was very impressed with one of his team-mate and old friend's batting performance. He was none other than 'Sir' Ravindra Jadeja.

Kohli adds unique flavour to Jaddu's celebration

Ravindra Jadeja who has been excellent with the ball in the ongoing series has also made a tremendous amount of impact with the bat in the last two Test matches. He had scored a well-made 91 in the previous Test and even at Ranchi, he scored a half-century i.e. 119-ball 51. However, what was more interesting was Virat Kohli's epic reaction when Jaddu had reached his fifty. The cricket fans might be aware of Jadeja's sword style celebration once he reaches a fifty or a hundred and it was no different on Sunday. But, Virat Kohli had other plans as he pulled off a horse-rider celebration which left the dressing room in splits. Even the captain himself was seen having a hearty laugh over it. The video of this hilarious incident was posted on social media as well. Watch the video here.

The Indian dominance

India elected to bat first after winning the toss were reeling at 39/3 before Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane had resurrected the hosts with a 267-run stand for the fourth wicket. Sharma scored his maiden Test double century (212) while Rahane scored his 11th century in red-ball cricket (115). After Jadeja's dismissal, Umesh Yadav who had come out at number nine played a stellar cameo of a 10-ball 31 which included five sixes at a strike rate of 310. After Yadav departed, India declared their innings at 497/9. The visitors' first innings began on a horrendous note as they were reduced to 9/2 before bad light stopped play on Day 2.
