Beautiful thing about sport is that rivalries stay on field and just with a smile & an open mind all tension between athletes is put to rest. Play hard on the field but always be up for a laugh off it😃What a blessing to have gotten to know so many amazing people through sport.🙏 pic.twitter.com/W5N2zhIy3j

Records are made to be broken
Kohli recently overtook Australia's batting great Don Bradman in terms of runs scored in Test cricket. While Bradman accumulated a tally of 6,996 runs, Virat has now scored more than 7,000 Test runs at an average of over 53 since making his debut in the West Indies in 2011. He has also scored the most double hundreds by any Indian batsman in Test cricket, going past Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag, who have scored six double centuries each. The list is still being led by Bradman, who has 12 double centuries to his name.
Kohli’s century against the Proteas also put him on par with another Australian batting legend and captain Ricky Ponting when it comes to scoring the most number of tons as Test captain, with 19 centuries. Former South African captain Graeme Smith leads the list with 25 of them and it won't be a surprise if the Indian run-machine goes on to break this record too. Kohli also has nine 150 plus scores as captain, once again going past Bradman, who had eight such scores to his name. The Team India skipper improved on his previous best Test score of 243 against Sri Lanka in 2017.
Virat Kohli just 2 points away from overtaking Steve Smith
The Indian skipper is already leading the ICC charts for ODI batsmen by a long margin. After his whirlwind 254 not out of 336 balls against South Africa in Pune, captain Kohli looks all set to lead the charts for Test batsmen as well. His recent double-century was his 26th ton in Tests and his seventh double-hundred in the game’s longest format. With his innings, Kohli is just two points away from toppling Steve Smith's ICC Test rankings.
