Prior to the commencement of the Asia Cup 2023, Virat Kohli showed off his endurance as he scored an incredible 17.2 on his Yo-Yo test.

Team India is set to start their Asia Cup campaign within a week. The Men in Blue will kick off their campaign with the first match against their arch-rivals Pakistan, on September 2, 2023. Team India will then play against Nepal to finish their group matches in the Asia Cup 2023 ahead of the ICC ODI World Cup in October.

Virat Kohli shows off his fitness ahead of the Asia Cup 2023 

Virat Kohli demonstrated his expertise by succeeding in the Yo-Yo test as he prepared for an impending tough stretch that included the Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup 2023. Following the fitness assessment, the legendary Indian cricketer posted a picture of himself on the ground to Instagram. Kohli revealed his impressive Yo-Yo test score of 17.2 alongside the image. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) requires players to receive a minimum Yo-Yo test score of 16.5. By easily reaching this standard, Kohli is showcasing his extraordinary level of fitness.

Prior to the start of the Asia Cup, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) organized a training camp in Bengaluru. The players who played in the T20I series against Ireland are expected to join on August 25, even though most of the players are already in the camp. Notably, Rahul Dravid, the head coach of India, is expected to attend the training camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), along with a number of other coaches.

Recently, the squad for the Asia Cup was announced on Monday, August 21, 2023. Rohit Sharma and his team are anticipated to give great results in the crucial tournaments as the Team looks for its first ICC trophy in the past 10 years. The Asia Cup will be the last stage of preparation for the World Cup in October. India last won the ODI World Cup in 2011 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.
