South Africa, in their first T20I against Sri Lanka on Tuesday, experimented behind the stumps by handing over dynamic fielder David Miller the gloves, despite regular wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock in the side.

The decision did not backfire for the Proteas, who saw Miller complete one good catch and effect one stumping. Though, the stand-in keeper endured an embarrassing moment with the gloves which brought laughter on the face of De Kock.

At one moment of time during Sri Lanka's batting, when an easy low throw was aimed towards Miller, he failed to bend down enough and let the ball go past him. It was a schoolboy error, though, Miller couldn't have been blamed for it, given he is not a seasoned wicket-keeper.

But for de Kock, that moment was hilarious, to stay the least. Standing close to the boundary line, the cameras caught him chuckling has he tried and hide his laughter following the mistake by his teammate.

Earlier in the ODI series between the two teams, Miller had donned the gloves in the second ODI after de Kock had left the field due to an injury. Though, that time around, an effort of his forced his skipper Faf du Plessis to shower enormous praise on him.

In the fourth ball of the 32nd over, Imran Tahir bowled a looping delivery which Vishwa Fernando tried to send to the stands.

The batsman failed to connect and the ball ended up in the wicketkeeper's hands. Miller, in a flash, removed the bails, though, it did not earn his side a wicket as the Sri Lankan batter was still in the crease. Yet, it did not stop Faf du Plessis from appreciating the effort and he ended up calling Miller 'MSD'.
