WATCH: 'Universal Boss' Chris Gayle takes a stunning catch in Global T20 Canada

The Global T20 Canada recently concluded with Vancouver Knights beating Cricket West Indies B Team in the final by seven wickets. It was the first ever T20 league hosted by Canada, and witnessed many world class players from around the world.

'Universal Boss' Chris Gayle led his team to glory in the first ever edition. And the legendary West Indian did it in style, claiming a stunning catch in the final. The 38-year-old, standing in the slips, pulled of a blinder to remove Cricket West Indies B's Kavem Hodge.
 

Gayle will soon be seen donning his national team jersey, after he was picked for the ODI series against Bangladesh. West Indies will host Bangladesh for two Test matches, three ODIs and three T20Is. The limited-overs leg will played in United States.

Many of West Indies' T20 stars were part of the tournament, which also had the infamous Australian duo Steven Smith and David Warner. The two made all the headlines prior to the tournament, given it was their first piece of cricketing action since getting banned for their role in 'ball tampering' case earlier this March.

Both the players though, failed to spark into life. Smith played a total of six matches, and scored 167 runs at a strike rate of 119.28. His country mate Warner had tournament to forget, as he amassed a mere 109 runs in eight matches at a strike rate of 114.73.

Smith and Warner, along with Cameron Bancroft, were handed strict bans by Cricket Australia for their role in the ball-tampering case back in March against South Africa. The then skipper Smith and vice-captain Warner were given one-year ban, whereas Bancroft was handed a nine-month ban.

Following the controversy, head coach Darren Lehmann also stepped down. Australia went to the tour of England with a new look. Tim Paine was the skipper of ODIs and Aaron Finch became the T20i skipper, with Justin Langer given the role of managing the national team.

But it was a disaster for the 2015 World Champions, who were whitewashed 5-0 in the five-ODI series, and then lost the one-off T20I. While Paine was the skipper in the ODI series, Aaron Finch assumed responsibility in the T20I game.
