WATCH: Virat Kohli answers a kid's question after being introduced by another kid in his India-England World Cup press conference

India will be locking horns against the hosts England in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 clash at Edgbaston on Sunday. Team India are the only undefeated side in the tournament. They are at the second spot in the points table with five wins in six matches and 11 points on the board. Meanwhile, England are at the fourth position with four wins in seven games and three losses. They have eight points in their tally. The hosts will now need to win their last two encounters against India and New Zealand respectively to be assured of a spot in the semis while Virat Kohli & Co. need just one point to consolidate their top four spot.

However, before both sides took to the field, a new media manager made his presence felt and introduced Indian skipper Virat Kohli in the press box prior to the start of the media interaction. Wondering who that person was? He was a little kid named Edward. Little Edward is a part of the project #OneDay4Children in support of ICC Cricket 4 Good and UNICEF’s joint fundraising efforts which aims to aid the children across the globe.

Edward came and introduced himself as captain Kohli was standing behind. 

"Hello everyone, we are the playground pundits and we are taking over tomorrow’s match to help raise money for ‘One Day for Children’. I am Edward, and I’ll be your media manager for the day,” he said.

As soon as the introduction was over, the very first question was asked by another kid named Neha.

“Hi, Virat. I am Neha. Are you excited about tomorrow’s match?” 

“Yes, Neha. Thank you for the lovely question. We are very excited. It’s a very special occasion. It’s the first time this is being done and we are very excited to be a part of such a special game, and I hope you are excited to watch the match.", replied Kohli.

The video of this special interaction between Kohli and the two kids was posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on their official Twitter handle. Take a look.

 England have failed to get the better of India in World Cups since the 1992 edition. India were successful against the three-time finalists in 1999 and 2003 respectively. The last time these two sides met in 2011, the game had gone all the way down to the wire and ended in a tie.
