As per reports, he is expected to be back for the West Indies series in December. Apart from the fans, even Hardik Pandya seems to be missing him and his little princess Ziva. Recently, Pandya had posted a picture of himself along with MSD and Ziva on social media. Take a look.
Fans say that even they miss MS Dhoni
After Hardik Pandya had posted a throwback picture of Mahi and his munchkin MS Dhoni, the fans came forward and mentioned that even they were missing the World Cup-winning skipper. Here are some of the reactions.
As per as Hardik Pandya is concerned, he is not expected to return to action for at least another three months owing to his lower back injury for which he had undergone a successful surgery in London.
Frequent retirement speculations
The 38-year-old Dhoni's retirement has been a subject of speculation for a couple of years. It was believed that the 2011 World Cup winner would retire after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The semi-final against New Zealand, which India lost, was the last time Dhoni was seen on a cricket field. Subsequently, he was dropped from the national squad after the World Cup. He has been replaced by Rishabh Pant behind the wickets since then. He has since trained with his regiment in the Territorial Indian Army. Former players have been quite vocal about their views on the legendary cricketer. Newly elected BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has honoured Dhoni saying that he is one of the greats of the game and he will be respected under his tenure. India head coach Ravi Shastri meanwhile, slammed the Dhoni critics who are making statements about his future. Shastri pointed out that Dhoni timed his retirement in Tests perfectly and that he has earned the right to do it in his own way when it comes to the limited-overs formats of the game.
