The Indian cricket team is taking on West Indies in the second T20I match at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. Hardik Pandya and Co. won the toss and opted to bat first. The team management has roped in Ravi Bishnoi in place of Kuldeep Yadav, who injured his hand in the last match. Yashasvi Jaiswal still has not been able to find a place in the team despite his decent form.

Yashasvi Jaiswal earned his spot in the Indian cricket team due to his excellent performance in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League 2023. Jaiswal was the fifth-highest run scorer in the 16th edition of the cash-rich league and scored 625 runs from 14 games. Yashasvi also averages 81.19 in 17 first-class matches.
