World Cup 2023: Tickets for India matches in Chennai, Delhi and Pune go on sale on Aug 31

The Cricket World Cup 2023 stands as a pinnacle event in the international cricket calendar, captivating the attention of fans worldwide. Scheduled to unfold in India, the tournament promises an exhilarating showcase of cricketing prowess as nations vie for supremacy on the grand stage. • India will play its opening match against Australia on October 8

India tickets to go on sale on August 31, 2023

Tickets for India's matches in Chennai, Delhi, and Pune will be available on the official ticketing website, tickets.cricketworldcup.com, starting from 8 PM IST on Thursday, August 31.

India's clash with Australia is set for Sunday, October 8, at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium. On Wednesday, October 11, India will face off against Afghanistan at New Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium. Another match is lined up on Thursday, October 19, as India takes on Bangladesh at Pune's Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium (MCA).

The ticket sales schedule continues with tickets for India's matches in Dharamsala, Lucknow, and Mumbai going live on September 1. On September 2, tickets for India's contests in Bangalore and Kolkata will be up for sale, followed by Ahmedabad's match on September 3. Tickets for the semi-finals and final are scheduled to be available starting September 15.

Reports indicate that the Indian squad for the World Cup will be unveiled on September 3, just after their group-stage clash with Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023.

India is grappling with a few injury concerns, with KL Rahul ruled out for the group-stage matches against Nepal and Pakistan. The return of Jasprit Bumrah from injury holds intrigue over his performance. Veterans Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, with their over a decade of experience in the 50-over format, are expected to play pivotal roles. It will be interesting to see if India will be able to lift it's third ODI World Cup title this year.
