Manchester United's £50 million summer acquisition from Crystal Palace, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, recently achieved the record for the most number of successful tackles in the Premier League, in his first season with the Red Devils. The young right-back was in his top form as United beat Norwich city 3-1 at Carrow Road on October 27 that saw the Red Devils win their third match of the season.

Premier League record by Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Bissaka won a total of 11 tackles in the match against bottom-placed Norwich and that accounted for a big part of the 44 tackles he has made so far in the 2019-20 season. He is currently ranked at the third position behind Leicester City defender  Ricardo Pereira(47) and midfielder Wilfred Ndidi(45) who have played a total of 10 matches as compared to Aaron's 8 matches so far.

The 21-year-old played a key role in United's win against Norwich City, which saw them climb to the 7th position from a lowly 15th after 10 league matches. The match saw Scottish midfielder, Scott McTominay, making sharp passes for United before scoring the first goal of the match in the 21st minute. McTominay's goal helped Manchester United to be the first team to score 2000 goals in the Premier League era.

A reliable frontline for United

Forwards Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial failed to score a VAR given penalty in the 29th and the 44th minute but made up for their mistakes by scoring the third (30th minute) and fourth goal (73rd minute) of the game. The missed penalties meant that United had failed to score 4 out of the 6 spot kicks they were awarded this season.

Manchester United manager,  Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, was of the opinion that the first one was not a penalty and added that Rashford did an "honorable" thing and missed the chance to score.
