Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi was mocked by the club's fans after his side’s defeat against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Thursday. Mustafi will certainly be looking to forget one or two moments, particularly his role in Liverpool's first goal.
It's been a hard battle at Anfield and it did not help that I let the team down to start with but we fought back. Unlucky in the end by losing on penalties 🙏🏼 #sm20 pic.twitter.com/LRqj3zsdPp

Unbeaten Premier League leaders Liverpool took an early lead over the Gunners, courtesy of an embarrassing own goal from German defender Mustafi. Attempting to clear an Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain cross, Mustafi only managed to prod the ball past Emiliano Martinez into his own net. Arsenal equalised shortly after Mustafi’s own goal through Lucas Torreira with Mesut Ozil being heavily involved in the build-up.

Not all of us! Well done for standing up, but that comes from not being good enough to be in an Arsenal team! Time to move on, along with the Coach!

Stop blaming everyone around u when u commit the mistake during the game though!
U blamed Martinez for ur own shocking pass back!
It was a highly intense match, with goal after goal going in. Eventually it finished at 5-5 and went to penalties. Liverpool scored all five of theirs and will be going through to the next round thanks to a save from Caoimhin Kelleher denying Dani Ceballos' spot-kick.
