Cesc Fabregas has fired back at the TV-presenter Adrian Durham after his rant questioning former Arsenal midfielder Dennis Bergkamp's impact in North London.
Is this guy serious? Lost the plot big time there. If you don’t think Bergkamp was that good, then you don’t understand this sport at all. https://t.co/6YrXiX2vnn

The presenter infuriates Cesc Fabregas
Dennis Bergkamp made a total of 423 appearances in 10 years with the Gunners, scoring 120 goals and playing a crucial role in their famous 2003-04 Invincibles campaign. But Durham sparked a controversy last week when he criticised the Dutchman, questioning if he was really as influential as people claim. He pointed out that Bergkamp joined Arsenal in 1995 but won his first trophy in 1998, implying that other players like Patrick Vieira and Emmanuel Petit might have had more impact than Bergkamp. He also questioned Arsenal's failure to win the Champions League or back to back titles with Bergkamp as their talisman.
Well, I don’t know because I never listen to the radio. But if that’s the case, then it’s even more stupid, specially at this age. Then, how can we take the shows and these people serious? 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

And Cesc Fabregas destroys him on Twitter
Durham’s comments have irked both Arsenal supporters and neutrals who admired Dennis Bergkamp as a player. Now it appears he has managed to upset Cesc Fabregas as well. The Spaniard, who played alongside Bergkamp for three years in North London, took to Twitter on Monday to slam the presenter. Fabregas was no doubt frustrated with such baseless insinuations, suggested if Durham even understands the sport at all. Fabregas is certainly well placed to weigh in on the debate, given he was teammates with Bergkamp for three seasons and was also part of the Invincibles squad.
Many seem to agree with Cesc Fabregas
The midfielder's response was echoed by plenty of others on Twitter too - including other Arsenal club legends. Former Arsenal player Ray Parlour suggested Bergkamp was a 'genius' and arguably the Gunners' greatest ever player, while Martin Keown said the presenter 'clearly doesn't know anything about football'.
