Cesc Fabregas isn't short of silverware in his career. But the Chelsea midfielder has now added another individual accolade to his elusive trophy-cabinet after the Spaniard was conferred two Guinness World Records on Wednesday.

The midfield magician can now boast about being the official holder of the fastest player to reach 100 assists in the Premier League. He achieved the record-breaking feat after assisting Willian in the game against Stoke City on December 31, 2016.

It was his 293rd match for the Blues, and since then he has gone on to set up another 11 assists for Chelsea. However, his century of assists sees him sit second in the all-time Premier League assists charts, with  Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs occupying top spot with 162 assists to his name.

Although, the former Barcelona midfielder was forced to wait a long time to be recognized for his achievements. Nevertheless, he was delighted as he spoke of his happiness after been given the award: I'm not the strongest, I'm not the most flexible, I don't jump high. "But to achieve this record in my career is one of the proudest things in my job, because it is my job and I did it well," Fabregas told GWR.

The second record was rather an interesting one. Last year in July, Fabregas had combined with Jamie Redknapp to take on an interesting challenge on Sky 1's show 'League of Their Own'. The duo now holds the record for "the most volley passes in 30 seconds by a pair."

Cesc Fabregas is known for his ability of threading pin-point passes that can split defenses. Ever since announcing his arrival in the Premier League, the midfielder has become a force to reckon with and a fan favorite among the Stamford Bridge faithful. Since joining the Blues, the Spaniard has 2 Premier League titles, and one FA Cup and League Cup each.

However, the 2008 World Cup winner is out of favor at Chelsea making only 3 starts for the Blues under new manager Maurizio Sarri. While the player who in the twilight of his career, would be hoping to get some minutes under his belt. With how things stand, will the player seek a move in the next transfer window? Only time will tell.
