On a night when Paris Saint-Germain could only manage a narrow win against Club Brugge, Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid stepped up their game to register a convincing 6-0 win over Galatasaray. Real Madrid entered the game on some questionable form. However, 18-year-old Rodrygo Goes stole the show with three goals and an assist as Real Madrid romped to a 6-0 victory over Fatih Terim's side.

Real Madrid were quick off the blocks for change, as they tested Galatasaray keeper Fernando Muslera in the first couple of minutes. Rodrygo justified his start by netting the first goal of the night after performing a dummy and then cutting into the box to rifle a shot past Muslera with his left foot at the far post. Four minutes in, and Real Madrid were 1-0 up. Moments later, Rodrygo once again turned up to send a looping header past Muslera from Marcelo's cross to double Real Madrid's lead within seven minutes. The Santiago Bernabeu was filled with fans chanting the name of the 18-year old winger and with good reason. On the 13th minute, Sergio Ramos chipped a penalty past Muslera to put Real Madrid up by three goals. With three goals in the opening 15 minutes and another goal from Karim Benzema, Real Madrid cruised comfortably into half-time.

The second half saw Benzema secure his second goal for the night. In doing so, Benzema became the third-highest scorer for Real Madrid in Europe. In the dying minutes, Rodrygo completed a perfect hat-trick slipping in Benzema's assist to secure his third for the night.
