Cristiano Ronaldo wishes speedy recovery to Portugal's Andre Gomes

Andre Gomes suffered a horrifying injury during Everton's clash with Tottenham on Sunday. Andre Gomes suffered from an ankle injury after Spurs' Heung-min Son tackled him from behind before he collided with Serge Aurier. The Portuguese international underwent surgery for his fractured ankle which reportedly went extremely well and he is also expected to make a full recovery very soon. Everyone in the footballing world showed their support to Andre Gomes and his national team skipper, Cristiano Ronaldo, was one of them. Cristiano Ronaldo helmed a very supportive message for his teammate during his time of crisis.

Cristiano Ronaldo took to Instagram to send his best wishes for Andre Gomes as he uploaded their picture in his story which read "Fast improvements @ aftgomes21 will come back even stronger - big hug”. Andre Gomes' teammates took to Twitter to extend their support and Everton released an official statement stating that the club would like to thank every Everton supporter and members of the wider football family for their overwhelming messages of support that they have received since the time Gomes got injured.
Everton boss Marco Silva looked optimistic about Andre Gomes' fast recovery and he also made sure that the Portuguese international will get 100 per cent support from the club during his process of recovery. Silva stated that he is absolutely sure that Andre Gomes will return as a stronger player. Silva considers Gomes to be a fantastic man and a professional and he also informed that other players at Everton are in a very wretched state of mind after the horror show at Goodison Park.
