The 2019-20 EPL season is up and running. Liverpool and Manchester City have dominated the first few weeks of the season like they did last season and it yet again seems like a two horse race for the title. The summer transfer window saw a host of names such as Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and others depart the EPL. However, there were also some new additions to the league. We have compiled a list of top three EPL transfers up until this point of the season in terms of value-for-money and performances on the pitch.
EPL Transfers
#3 Sebastien Haller
At 6 ft 3 in, Sebastien Haller is a strong presence on the pitch. West Ham United signed the French striker for a club-record fee of £45 million on a five-year contract. Haller scored 15 league goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt last season. The EPL striker has enjoyed strong start to the season having scored three goals in three appearances for West Ham thus far and occupies the third spot on this list. We expect more from Haller, so keep a close eye on him for the next few months.
#2 Rodri
Manchester City went all out and met the terms of Rodrigo's €70 million release clause to buy him from Atletico Madrid. The 22-year old defensive midfielder became City’s most expensive signing as he put pen to paper on a five-year deal. Brought in to replace the ageing Fernandinho, Rodri has shown glimpses of his skill-set in the few matches he has played in the EPL. Rodri scored his first goal for the defending champions in their recent 3-2 loss against Norwich City last weekend.

James has scored three goals in five appearances for the Red Devils in the EPL thus far. His goal against Southampton was voted as the ‘goal of the month’ by United fans.
