Clubs across Europe have shown a keen interest in signing Norwegian and FC Salzburg teen sensation Erling Haaland. In view of the player’s capabilities and increasing demand, FC Salzburg have reportedly put a price tag of a whopping €100m on him, according to British media reports.
Haaland targeted by top clubs
Top European clubs such as Manchester United and Juventus are eyeing a move for the youngster in the January 2020 transfer window. Salzburg are well aware of the fact that they have one of the world's most exciting prospects in their side and thus expect large offers in the future, although nothing has been tabled officially as of now. As such, the player has caught the eye of LaLiga giants including Real Madrid and Barcelona as well, as they consider a move for the 19-year-old striker.
Haaland became the highest-scoring teenager in a single UEFA Champions League campaign when he scored in Salzburg's group stage match against Napoli on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. The 18-year-old has now racked up seven goals in only four Champions League matches this season. However, the match ended in a draw with both sides scoring one goal each. This ranks him above Raul and Kylian Mbappe, both of whom had scored six goals in a season as teenagers. Haaland has displayed his goalscoring instinct not only in the Champions League but he has raked up similar performances in the Austrian Bundesliga as well. He has found the back of the net 11 times in 12 Austrian league games, whilst also adding four in two cup matches.

Haaland is having a prolific season
The player has scored 23 goals so far this season, inviting attention from major clubs across Europe. Hence, Salzburg’s hefty price tag is largely aimed at warding off any interest from the clubs in order to keep the player for the remainder of the season. However, considering the financial muscle of clubs like Manchester United, PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona, the player and his club will have a hectic time in the coming transfer window.
