England bagged a three-point lead at the top of group A following their thrashing of Bulgaria in Euro 2020 qualifiers on Monday night. However, Gareth Southgate's team performance has been the least talked-about part of the game. During the game, the referee was forced to stop the game to a halt on two separate occasions after some England players were being racially abused by the Bulgarian crowd. Some of the fans from the crowd were even seen doing the Nazi salutes and the night couldn't have gone any worse.
We can confirm that @England players were subjected to abhorrent racist chanting while playing in the #EURO2020 qualifier against Bulgaria.

This is unacceptable at any level of the game and our immediate focus is supporting the players and staff involved.
Following the incidents, FA itself came out on Twitter and issued an official statement in regards to the racist abuse and stated it as ''unacceptable at any level''. We are still to know what measures UEFA will take about the incident, looking at the level of punishments they have handed to countries who've been found guilty of being racist in the past. Many people have suggested that UEFA should put a ban on Bulgaria from competing in Euro 2020 qualifiers for a period of time to give out a bold statement and put a stop to racism.
