GER vs NIR Dream11 top picks, team news, preview and match prediction
GER vs NIR Dream11 take: Joachim Leow's Germany have already qualified for Euro 2020. Northern Ireland, however, miss out on the automatic qualification spot.
The final round of the Euro 2020 Qualifiers are upon us. In Group C, Michael O'Neill's Northern Ireland side travel to Eintracht Frankfurts' Commerzbank Arena to face group leaders Germany on Tuesday, November 19 (1:15 am IST). Germany have already qualified for the Euro 2020 main event. Northern Ireland, however, can no longer secure qualification through the automatic spot, with Ronald Koeman's Netherlands sitting second in the group. Michael O'Neill's men will, therefore, have to battle it out in the playoffs next year.
GER vs NIR Dream11 preview
Germany have qualified for the Euros for a record 13th time and have qualified for every European tournament since 1972. Michael O'Neill's men will, therefore, find it difficult to reverse the result from their last meeting with the Germans, which ended in a 0-2 defeat for Northern Ireland. Germany manager Joachim Leow was earlier quoted as saying that he is likely to make a couple of changes to the squad that emerged 4-0 winners over Belarus, in order to dole out some game time to those who missed out on the Belarus win.
GER vs NIR Dream11 top picks
Northern Ireland have conceded just one goal more than Germany in the Euro 2020 Qualifiers. However, Germany have scored a mammoth 24 goals in Group C. Taking into account Northern Ireland's defence and Germany's attack, here are the Dream11 top picks for this game.
Goalkeeper - Bailey Peacock-Farrell
Defenders - Jonny Evans, Craig Cathcart, Matthias Ginter
Midfielders - Steven Davis, Toni Kroos, Paddy McNair, Joshua Kimmich
Forwards - Josh Magennis, Timo Werner (captain), Serge Gnabry (vice-captain)
GER vs NIR Dream11 prediction
Northern Ireland have proved to be formidable opposition in what is arguably the toughest group in the Euro 2020 Qualifiers. However, with the Germans playing on home turf, the last qualifier in Group C could be too much to handle for Michael O'Neill's side. As such, we predict a 3-0 win for Germany.
