MLS newcomers Inter Miami CF have announced the signing of forward Jerome Kiesewetter. The 26-year-old German-American dual national has represented the U.S. men’s national teams in the under-18, U-20, U-23 and senior squads. Jerome Kiesewetter came up through German club Hertha Berlin's youth system and also played for Stuttgart and Fortune Dusseldorf during his time in Germany.
In a statement after Kiesewetter's signing, Inter Miami CF sporting director Paul McDonough said that Kiesewetter's signing brings speed, athleticism and experience to the Inter Miami squad. Jerome Kiesewetter becomes the ninth player on the Inter Miami roster as the MLS newcomers look to build a competitive side for their debut season. Kiesewetter is also the second forward on Inter Miami's roster, after they signed Julian Carranza from Argentine Primera Division side Banfield earlier this year.
