Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday morning announced that they have appointed Jose Mourinho as the new head coach of the football club. In a statement, the club announced that the Portuguese will be in charge till the 2022/2023 season. The development comes after Argentine Mauricio Pochettino departed the club on Tuesday evening.

Upon the announcement, Jose said, "I am excited to be joining a Club with such a great heritage and such passionate supporters. The quality in both the squad and the academy excites me. Working with these players is what has attracted me.”
