Inter Miami striker Lionel Messi finally ended the fans' wait and made his MLS (Major League Soccer) debut against New York Red Bulls. Messi was not included in Inter Miami's starting eleven, but he eventually came to the field as a substitute in the econd half of the play. The Argentine Football star didn't disappoint the fans in attendace, as he scored a goal in the 89th minute of the match.

After making his MLS debut against New York Red Bulls, Lionel Messi seems to be in trouble as he might have breached a rule. The Argentine football star didn't speak to the media after Inter Miami's win against the New York Red Bulls. As per the MLS rules, players have to be available for media interviews after the match. The rule was confirmed by MLS' divisions executive vice president of communications, Dan Courtemanche.
Inter Miami spokeswoman offers update on Lionel Messi's MLS rule breach issue
Amidst the chaos, Inter Miami's spokeswoman Molly Dreska has come up with a major update on the issue and believes that Lionel Messi not facing the media is a violation of the MLS rules. Moreover, there is a possibility that the seven-time Ballon d’Or and World Cup-winning captain might face a punishment. But no decision has been made till now.
Coming back to the game, Inter Miami mid-fielder Diego Gomez scored the opening goal of the match against the New York Red Bulls in the 37th minute. Inter Miami's head coach Tata Martino, kept Lionel Messi on the bench and brought him on the field when an hour was left in the match.
