ISL News: Amey Ranawade returns and other FC Goa transfers' round-up

FC Goa failed to clinch the ISL trophy last season after losing in the final against Sunil Chettri's Bengaluru FC. They had a successful run last season and looked lethal in their home games. Sergio Lobera's side had 10 wins in the 18 games they played last season (Draws 4, Losses 4). The club went big in the recent transfer window after getting a hold of a number of players with Aibanbha Dohling and Amey Ranawade being some examples.

Player to Watch out for:

Amey Ranawade made the headlines after getting selected by the AIFF Regional Academy in Goa and later represented India in the U-17 and U-20 groups. Ranawade, who was born in Mumbai, got signed by FC Goa for the ISL 2017-18 campaign but failed to appear in any match that season. Amey, however, got an opportunity to prove his calibre in FC Goa's 2018 Super Cup semi-final match against East Bengal. 

After FC Goa showed no interest in retaining the centre-half, I-league giants Mogan Bagan bagged the player. Ranawade played a crucial role to lead Mohun Bagan's title claim. It is then that FC Goa decided to buy back the 21-year-old Ranawade for a second season.
