The French superstar has been the subject of fresh speculation
Reportedly Kylian Mbappe has rejected Paris Saint-Germain's most recent contract offer, adding an intriguing new twist to the ongoing dilemma. Mbappe could keep his current PSG deal and become a free agent if he decides to do so. Since Mbappe stated his wish to leave PSG earlier this summer, tensions between the two parties have been evident. Strong ties between Mbappe and Real Madrid have emerged throughout the current transfer window. The French talent has drawn the attention of the Spanish team, which sees him as a potential addition to their roster of "Galacticos." Real Madrid made an effort, but they were unsuccessful in getting him to sign with them.

At the end of his contract in 2024, PSG has steadfastly refused to permit Mbappe to go on a free transfer. The Ligue 1 winners gave Mbappe two choices to deal with this: either trigger the contract extension clause, prolong his stay until 2025 or sign a new, longer-term contract. These discussions might include a provision guaranteeing a sale in any subsequent agreements.
However, rumours indicate that Mbappe has turned down the offer that was made to him. PSG's Qatari owners have now given club president Nasser Al Khelaifi the important task of deciding whether to devote the forthcoming 2023–2024 season to persuading the star striker to stay or to make him available for transfer.
Will Kylian Mbappe follow in the footsteps of Messi and Neymar?
PSG has experienced a turbulent transfer period during which two well-known superstars have left the club. Lionel Messi of Argentina was the first to depart after making a big move to MLS team Inter Miami. Messi described the choice as being family-focused and aimed at ensuring their well-being. Neymar later left Paris as well and joined Al-Hilal of the Saudi Pro League. Mbappe is the only surviving member of PSG's former legendary front three due to this personnel change.
Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, has decided against chasing Mbappe during the current transfer season despite these events. The difficulty stems from PSG's excessive value of their prized asset. However, there are signs that Real Madrid is prepared to negotiate; the Spanish daily Marca claims they are waiting for the right moment to start talking. According to rumours, Mbappe has already agreed terms for what might be a free transfer to Spain in 2024.
