Kylian Mbappe's refusal to sign a new contract at Paris Saint-Germain alerted a host of clubs. The French youngster has remained a lucrative prospect in the transfer market but given his massive value, only a few clubs would be able to afford him as it stands. He does have a one-year extension clause in his contract which needs to be triggered by July 1, and the present scenario does make him pretty vulnerable as he could leave the club for free the next summer. In the next few weeks, the PSG management is expected to draw up a conclusion to this matter.

3 things you need to know

  • Kylian Mbappe joined PSG from As Monaco on an initial loan deal back in 2017

PSG could sanction a loan deal for Kylian Mbappe: Reports

PSG are now willing to let the player leave on loan to get rid of his wages off their books. They will also be entitled to a sizable loan fee which could be a win-win situation for them. Following the departure of Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos, PSG have tried to fill in the void with the signing of a few players with the like of Manuel Ugarte, Lucas Hernandez and Milan Skriniar and they will be targeting that elusive Champions League title which they have been missing out on the last couple of season.
