La Liga: Joao Felix, Kieran Trippier and others on international duty
Atletico Madrid have begun strongly in the La Liga under Diego Simeone. The Argentine will hope his players refrain from injuries over the international break.
Atletico Madrid got off to a strong start in their LaLiga 2019-20 campaign with some impressive displays at the start of the Spanish league. However, they missed the chance to go top of the LaLiga table ahead of rivals - Real Madrid and Barcelona - as Los Rojiblancos played out a 0-0 draw against Real Valladolid away from home. Argentinian coach Diego Simeone will hope that his players return a rejuvenated bunch as the Atletico stars head for the international break to represent their respective countries. LaLiga: Atletico Madrid players on international duty
Spain
LaLiga veteran Saul Niguez is the sole Spanish player from Atletico Madrid squad to be included in La Roja's squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers against Norway and Sweden. Robert Moreno is sure to give the left-footed midfielder enough game time during the current international break.
Brazil
Atletico Madrid newboy Renan Lodi made his debut from the bench for Brazil as the Selecao played out a 1-1 draw against Senegal yesterday. The left-back will push to start in the next game against Nigeria this week.
Argentina
Angel Correa featured in the starting line-up for La Albiceleste as they played out a 2-2 draw against 2014 FIFA World Cup champions - Germany. The forward, who was rumoured to be on the move to AC Milan in the summer transfer window, will push for a start in the next match against Ecuador on October 13, 2019.
Portugal
Atletico's new golden boy - Joao Felix - was called up to play for the senior Portugal team in their upcoming UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying games during the international break. Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. play Luxembourg in their first qualifier followed by a match against current table-toppers - Ukraine.
England
Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier has been included in the Three Lions squad for their upcoming UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers. England will qualify for Euro 2020 on Friday if they beat the Czech Republic on their trip to Prague.
