Leeds United have been promoted to the English Premier League for the first time in 16 years, after West Bromwich Albion lost on Friday.

Leeds' place in England's top-flight for the 2020-2021 season was confirmed after West Brom lost 2-1 at Huddersfield Town and they will be crowned second-tier champions if third-placed Brentford do not beat Stoke on Saturday or Marcelo Bielsa's side then take a point from Sunday's visit to Derby County.

Bielsa has led Leeds to promotion in his second season in charge after they finished third in the 2018-2019 campaign and lost out in the play-offs.

The 2001 UEFA Champions League semi-finalists have fought their way back following relegation from the Premier League in 2004, and they even dropped to England's third tier in 2007 having been placed into administration.
