Lionel Messi surprises FC Barcelona fans

Messi's apparel surprised fans as the Argentine superstar dazzled in the crown sweater in a video captured by a top American media outlet. It was a different sight for the fans who do not get to see much of Messi's glittery side frequently. The player was all smiling while he featured in front of the media. However, the match did not end according to Messi's expectations as the Catalans were held to a goalless draw at their own home ground. It was up to Messi to lift the mood and he almost scored with a brilliant run from the halfway line but his effort ended with a shot hitting the crossbar.

However, they remain unbeaten after picking up a point against Slavia Prague. Messi struck the post and Czech keeper Kolar made a few great saves but the result was probably a fair one seeing the run of play. Slavia looked bright in attack too and Stanciu had an effort ruled out for offside just before the break. A booking for Gerard Piqué means he will miss the Dortmund game at Camp Nou on 27 November.

Ernesto Valverde admitted that FC Barcelona players were upset after the match. The manager accepted that they haven't been convincing either against Levante in LaLiga or against Slavia in the Champions League and they know that there is a lot of pressure now on the team and they need to respond to it.
