#3 Lionel Messi has the last laugh against Real Madrid in 2017
The 2017 'El Clasico' tie between Barcelona and Real Madrid was a feisty affair. The game looked to be heading towards a stalemate at the end of the 90 minutes at the Bernabeu. However, Messi had different plans. The Barcelona legend finished with a brilliant move and scored with the last kick of the game to hand his side a crucial win at the home of their arch-rivals.
#2 Lionel Messi slams five past Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League
Arguably, Messi played the best match of his career in the Barcelona jersey as the Blaugrana completely ripped apart Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen. During the 2012 UCL tie, Messi scored a record-high five goals as he almost single-handedly destroyed Leverkusen. In doing so, Messi became the first and only player to score five goals in a Champions League match.

Lionel Messi was on fire on that fateful night at the Santiago Bernabeu when he tore apart the Real Madrid defence in the second half. A brilliant brace from the little maestro was enough to hand Barcelona a 3-1 aggregate win over Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League semi-final back in 2011.
