Manchester City's first-choice goalkeeper Ederson will miss the big Sunday night Premier League clash against Liverpool after picking up an injury in the Champions League against Atlanta. The Premier League Matchday 12 game at Anfield is very crucial for Pep Guardiola's side as they have a chance to cut Liverpool's lead by half. Guardiola in an interview confirmed that Ederson is suffering from a thigh problem and will not recover before the game against Liverpool. The 26-year-old goalkeeper picked up the injury during City's match against Atalanta and was replaced by Claudio Bravo at half-time. However, Bravo was shown a red card for a challenge on Josip Ilicic which saw right-back Kylie Walker step in goal for Manchester City.
PEP 💬 @aguerosergiokun was born scoring goals; he will die scoring goals. His talent is in that position.

Liverpool vs Manchester City: Pep Guardiola shares his views on Claudio Bravo
Pep Guardiola confirmed to British media that Ederson will not be able to play and Claudio Bravo is the right man to do the job. The boss is confident about the keeper and said that Manchester City won the Carabao Cup with Bravo. Pep highly ranked the Chilean by stating that he is an exceptional keeper and has won a lot of games with the Chilean national team.
However, Claudio Bravo has not featured in any Premier League games for Man City since the final day of the 2017-18 season. Pep added that he has no reason to doubt Bravo's credibility and no player will like their manager to doubt their skills. Guardiola ensured that Bravo gives his 100 per cent in training which shows how good the former Barcelona keeper is. The Manchester City boss insisted that everyone should respect Bravo because of what he has achieved by winning Copa America and other glories in his career.
PEP 💬 @edersonmoraes93 is not able to play. I don’t know how long he will be out for. Sunday, he cannot play@C1audioBravo can do it too. He is an exceptional keeper - won a lot of international games with Chile. I have no doubts.https://t.co/JwUJsrUSDW
