In an interview with the club, the Uruguayan explained his good relationship with Lionel Messi and how the Argentine has helped him at the club over the years. He also spoke about his debut and the influence of former manager Luis Enrique.

Suarez revealed that he and his teammates feel very lucky that they get to work with Lionel Messi on a daily basis. According to Suarez, Lionel Messi has helped him a lot with his personal growth. The bond they share off the pitch has helped a lot in the chemistry they exude on the pitch. Suarez admires Messi's companionship but the one trait that Messi has helped him with is being relaxed.
Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi are set to clash for their national teams over the international break. Uruguay are scheduled to play Argentina in a friendly in Tel Aviv on Monday.

Luis Suarez also spoke about his debut back in 2014 against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. Suarez, who hadn't played a game in months (as he was serving a suspension), was lacking rhythm and was pretty nervous. But the striker revealed the support from Luis Enrique and the manager's faith in him helped a lot to ease the tension. He set up the opening goal but finished on the losing side as Barcelona lost 3-1.
