Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that the team will be without defender Victor Lindelof before for their Europa League clash against Partizan Belgrade on Thursday night. Lindelof is the latest on United’s injury list after suffering a re-occurrence of a back injury that he had first sustained against AZ Alkmaar in October in their recent 1-0 league defeat against Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Solskjaer stated that Victor Lindelof suffered a knock against Chelsea and that he did not come through the game against Bournemouth without a reaction so he will be out against Partizan. After a run of three consecutive away victories, United went down to a 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth. However, the Red Devils can qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa League if they beat Partizan at Old Trafford, with the manager also revealing that his team will play attacking football.
The Swedish defender has been ever-present in the United side this season, playing in 10 of their 11 Premier League games so far. But he has appeared just once in Europa League, in October's goalless draw with AZ Alkmaar.
Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury that he suffered in August, was back on the field but he was seen training away from the squad. On the other hand, Eric Bailly, Diogo Dalot, Angel Gomes, Nemanja Matic and Axel Tuanzebe all remain absent.
Manchester United lead their Europa League Group
Manchester United face Partizan Belgrade on Thursday night, November 7 at Old Trafford. They presently lead their group with two wins and one draw in their three matches so far and are set for an easy qualification to the next round.
